Working with Mexican restaurant Wahaca for over 3 years, I’ve created an extensive collection of original illustration, and created 2 custom typefaces. Executed across a variety of applications for the brand, from monthly A boards, restaurant interiors, menus and their tacos trucks.

Quirky and characterful illustration was a staple for the brand, and I regularly created this across their A Boards, menus, restaurant interiors and out of home applications. Key to these was having a hand rendered and surreal feel.
TACO TRUCK
Whilst working with Wahaca I had the opportunity to design several of their Taco Trucks, filled to the brim with Mexican ingredients and odd details.
TYPE DESIGN
The hand rendered type of Mexican markets was a central inspiration in Wahaca’s branding and the two custom typefaces I made for them; Taco Type and Smokey.
